Tomorrow (3pm) sees our first ever Emirates FA Cup tie, as we take on Liverpool side Litherland REMYCA. Like us, the Remy will be looking for a first win of the new campaign after a draw at Irlam (2-2) and a home defeat to Rylands (0-3).
Litherland have been in the NWCFL since 2014/15 having been promoted from the Liverpool County Premier Division, and they were promoted into the NWCFL Premier Division in 2018, so this is their second season in the Premier Division finishing 15th last time out.
The Remy are no strangers to the Emirates FA Cup, this is their 3rd time of entering. In 2017/18 they beat AFC Liverpool at this stage, in a game that was broadcast live on the BBC Website, they then were KO'd by Penistone Church from Yorkshire in the next round. Last season they defeasted Charnock Richard 4-2 at this stage before being removed from the competition due to an administration error, so we will have our work cut out to become the first team to beat Litherland at this stage of the FA Cup.
One to look out for : Remy striker Lennon Whewall has been a consistently prolific goal scorer throughout his nonleague career, briefly leaving Remy for Bootle, and having played sometime in Australia, he's back among the goals again already.
Entry : Adults £5, Concessions £3, U16's £1
